Ejector Pumps

Ejector Pumps are used when waste-water cannot efficiently flow to its destination by means of gravity alone.  This equipment is installed beneath the closest septic or sewer line to lift waste from a drain.  Ejector pumps typically come in two sizes:  the first is the vertical suspended type.  Here, the motor is mounted on the outside of the basin.   It is supported by a shaft, which is affixed to a pump housing inside the basin.  The second is the close-coupled submersible. In this model the motor connects directly to the pump housing and impeller by a short shaft.  As its name suggests, it is submerged completely inside the basin.

Installation of ejector pumps must conform to local building codes.  It also must be placed in a specific location depending on ease of access and proximity to other dependent services.  These pumps are usually highly efficient, requiring little regular maintenance after installation.  However, the selection of a proper model and correct installation is essential to preventing disastrous problems down the line.  When considering a new ejector pump, call Copper City Plumbing in Invermere B.C,  our experienced team will not only help you make an informed purchase, but we can help you with an affordable installation and emergency 24/7 service.
